Genre: Science Fiction Rating: A* This is a Truman nominee for 2016-2017 in Missouri *Pieces of Me is a well-written book, I just felt that it did not deserve an A+ Kestrel's life is hard. Her father is a General, and he is pushing her to decide whether she will join his army, or marry. When Kestrel's friend brings her to the slave market, Kestrel buys Arin, a Herrani who is not who he seems to be. Kestrel can't help but find herself falling in love with him, but is she really making the right choices for herself?
Genre: Fantasy Rating: A This is a Gateway nominee for 2016-2017 in Missouri Ivy is put out beyond the fence. She has to trade her life of "luxury" for bare-hands work. Help and friendship can be found here, too. But when Bishop comes back into her life and new information arises, Ivy wonders if taking the risk to go back to Westfall is worth losing everything that she's gained.
